This morning after breakfast we will travel into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and take the ferry to Mackinac Island. A visit to the Mackinac Island is truly a unique experience, with only three motorized vehicles on the island: the fire truck, police car & ambulance. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a private tour in a horse-drawn carriage. Our afternoon activities begin with a Grand luncheon experience at the beautiful Grand Hotel where we will be staying overnight.  During this time of year, the island is alive with the colour and fragrance of thousands of lilacs, which bloom later here than in Ontario. You are free to spend the afternoon exploring the downtown and view the annual Lilac Parade. After the parade, we will return to the Grand Hotel to prepare for a unique experience. This evening there is a dress code in effect and the dining room provides us with entertainment from the Grand Hotel Orchestra and an exquisite 5-course dinner.  After dinner, there will be a demitasse service and many options for evening entertainment including ballroom dancing to the Grand Orchestra and an evening movie selection.
