Join us as we explore Western New York including the Chautauqua Institution and the Lucy/Desi Museum and National Comedy Centre

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Sat., Aug. 22 -The tour will depart from Orillia Square Mall at 8:00a.m., Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 8:30a.m. and the Tour Office at 9:00a.m. Overnight parking is available at our Tour office. Remember to bring your Canadian Passport for the border crossing. This afternoon we visit the Grape Discovery Centre and learn about over 150 years of grape-growing in the Lake Erie Concord Grape Region. Check in to the brand new Harbor Hotel nestled on the banks of Lake Chautauqua for our 3-night stay.  Our evening concludes with group dinner and time to enjoy the beautiful hotel facilities.  (D)

Day 2: Sun., Aug. 23 – Chautauqua Institution is a community on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in southwestern New York State that comes alive each summer with a unique mix of fine and performing arts, lectures, interfaith worship and programs, and recreational activities.  Today you can explore the beautiful grounds, take a trolley ride, enjoy an afternoon concert and visit the food festival. Dinner this evening will be served at the historic Athenaeum Hotel. (B & D)

Day 3: Mon., Aug. 24 – Today we visit Jamestown, N.Y.  home of the Lucy-Desi Museum.  See original costumes, awards, photographs and other memorabilia from the estate of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.  Located just next door is the Desilu Studios- a museum dedicated to the” I Love Lucy” show.  Enjoy lunch in the Tropicana Room while watching an old episode of the show.  Our afternoon includes a Lucy Town Tour followed by a visit to the National Comedy Centre for some laughs and fun. We conclude our day with dinner and a cruise on Lake Chautauqua.  (B, L & D)

Day 4: Tues., Aug. 25 – Today we experience Tracks across the Sky in the morning. This afternoon enjoy lunch at the Roycroft Inn followed by a visit to the Roycroft Campus where the Arts and Crafts movement was formed in the U.S.  Explore your creative side and complete a “make and take project” prior to departing for home. A deposit of $300.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due by July 9, 2020.
