Never Say Never!  Last year we offered an exclusive private tour for 5 days to Churchill, Manitoba which included 2 full days on the Tundra buggies, 2 nights in Churchill and was limited to 18 people.  This program offers one day on the tundra buggy and we will be part of a group of 38.  If you have always wanted to see Polar Bears in their natural habitat here is an abbreviated opportunity.

Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Sat., Nov. 2 – The tour will depart from Collingwood, Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store & Tour Office for our shuttle to Pearson International Airport.  (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office) We will depart at 10:00a.m. with Porter Airlines to Winnipeg and check in for the evening at the Hampton Inn Airport Hotel. Overnight in Winnipeg.

Day 2: Sun., Nov. 3 – We will depart the hotel for a short drive to the Charter Terminal at 50 Morberg Way on an ATR 42-300 aircraft for Churchill. You will receive a light breakfast on board. 8:45am – You arrive in Churchill. Upon arrival you will be transferred directly to the Tundra Buggy launch site where you will board your Tundra Buggy for the day. This is a unique vehicle, well heated, and washroom equipped. The Buggy’s over inflated tires allow unparalleled access onto the tundra. Conservation regulation restricts the routes these vehicles can follow in order to protect the fragile ecosystem of this sub-Arctic region. The knowledgeable Tundra Buggy driver / interpreter will make every effort to ensure you have the most favorable conditions to photograph the bears. A platform on the rear of the buggy allows passengers to get an unrestricted view of the bears. A hearty boxed lunch, prepared locally, will be served on board. You return to Churchill at dusk for dinner at the Seaport Restaurant. There will also be time to shop for some Inuit soapstone carvings or other local souvenirs. 8:30pm – Your flight departs for Winnipeg. 10:45pm – You arrive at the Charter Terminal in Winnipeg and are transferred back to the Hampton Inn, Winnipeg. (B, L & D)

Day 3: Mon., Nov. 4 – After breakfast we will enjoy a guided tour of Winnipeg on our private motor coach.  Experience the most incredible sites and stories Winnipeg has to offer on our award-winning Highlights and Unknown Sites tour. Learn why Manitoba’s capital should be called ‘Secret New York’ and our city’s shocking connection to James Bond.  Tour highlights include: St. Boniface, Winnipeg’s charming French quarter, the Exchange District, Canada Life Centre hockey arena, home of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets hockey team, the community club where rock legends The Guess Who and Neil Young got their start. Assiniboine Park & drive past the Manitoba Legislative Building. This evening we depart for home on our Porter flight arriving at Pearson International Airport at 10:00p.m. where our coach will be waiting to pick us up and return us to our original departure points.
