Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Tues., June 20 – Today we travel to Trois Riviere for the first night stay on our Maritime tour.  This evening we enjoy dinner and French-Canadian hospitality at Chez Danys sugar shack.  (D)

Day 2: Wed., June 21 – After breakfast, we continue our journey travelling through Quebec and into New Brunswick for our overnight stay in Fredericton.  (B)

Day 3: Thurs., June 22 – Today we arrive in Moncton for a 2-night stay. – This afternoon we will visit the Hopewell Rocks where you may have an opportunity to walk on the ocean floor if the tide is low. See where the world’s highest tides have gouged four-story sculptures from the cliffs.   (B & D)

Day 4: Fri., June 23 – This morning is free to relax.   This afternoon we are off to Shediac for the scenic cruise and Lobster Dinner.  (Alternative meal is available) (B & D)

Day 5: Sat., June 24 – Once only accessible by ferry, today we arrive on Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge. This afternoon with the help of our Step-on Guide we will learn about Province House and explore historic Charlottetown. We will check in to The Loyalist Country Inn in Summerside.  (B & D)

Day 6: Sun., June 25 – This morning is at your leisure. This afternoon we visit Green Gables, the house immortalized by Lucy Maud Montgomery in her “Anne” books. Spend time in Prince Edward Island National Park, renowned for its red sandstone cliffs, rolling sand dunes and lush green fields. A traditional PEI lobster supper is included this evening. (B & D)

Day 7: Mon., June 26 – This morning we will take the ferry from Wood Islands to Caribou, Nova Scotia. There will be free time to explore the town of Pictou during your lunch hour. In the afternoon we will travel to Baddeck on Cape Breton Island. A visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site is planned for midafternoon before checking into our hotel. This evening’s entertainment provides us with great tunes, stories, and tea cakes as we attend the local Ceilidh.   (B & D)

Day 8: Tues., June 27 – Today we will explore the Cabot Trail, with many photo stops along the way – be sure to bring your camera. Known world-wide for its spectacular scenery, the Cabot Trail is circular and takes travelers along the rugged seacoast and through lofty mountains. Enjoy our unique 2-night stay at the Northstar Hotel, Louisbourg’s only ocean front hotel. Arranged across five acres, the resort boasts 22 guest suites and rooms, many with ocean views, 2 restaurants, a cocktail bar and a private shingle beach.
Just a short drive from The Fortress of Louisbourg, a National Parks Canada historic site (and partial reconstruction of an 18th-century battlement) North Star* is owned and operated by international designers Colin and Justin, whose shows have aired on HGTV and Cottage Life in Canada, and on the BBC, ITV and Channel 5 in Great Britain. Colin and Justin, whilst based in Toronto and Glasgow during winter, are resident – on site – at North Star* during the resort’s May to October operation. Day 9: Wed., June 28 – Start your day with a visit to Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, home to the historic jewel, the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. During the summer months hundreds of re-enactors or “animators” of all ages, from wealthy merchants to poor soldiers, populate the streets of the restored fortress working, playing, and living life as they would have in 1744. The afternoon is free to enjoy the North Star.  (B & D)

Day 10: Thurs., June 29 – Today we depart after lunch and cross the Canso Causeway to continue your journey to mainland Nova Scotia enroute to Halifax.  We will check into Hotel Halifax for our 3-night stay. (B & D)

Day 11: Fri., June 30 – We will explore the South Shore with our Step-on Guide visiting the historic fishing towns of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Peggy’s Cove. Lunenburg was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 and is home to the Bluenose II. (B)

Day 12: Sat., July 1 – CANADA DAY!! HAPPY 156th BIRTHDAY!! This morning we will have an overview tour of this historic port city, the capital of Nova Scotia with your Step on Guide. You will visit The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, Canada’s national museum of immigration. This afternoon we will attend a performance of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the largest indoor show in the world. You will hear and see military bands, pipes and drums, choirs, gymnasts, dancers, military displays, and competitions which offer the most exciting 2 ½ hours of entertainment ever found under one roof. Day 13: Sun., July 2 – Today we must pack our suitcases and depart, starting our journey towards home. Our overnight stay is in Riviere du Loup. (B & D)

Day 14:  Mon., July 3 – We travel today to Montreal for our overnight stay. Our hotel is centrally located downtown.  Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to explore on your own.  (B)

Day 15: Tues., July 4 – Enjoy a morning visit to the Jean Talon Market.  We will travel home, arriving at approximately 8:00p.m. (B)

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 14 nights accommodation, hotel taxes, baggage handling, 14 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 10 dinners, National Park pass, lobster boat cruise, Ferry Crossing & Toll bridges, attractions, museum visits and guided tours as listed in the itinerary & HST of 15% in the Maritimes.

An initial deposit of $1500.00 is required at time of booking. The balance is due in full by May 1, 2023.
