Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Mon. July 20 – The tour will depart in the early morning from Orillia, Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store and the Tour Office for our shuttle to Pearson International Airport. A free round trip shuttle service is available with a minimum of 4 customers in the Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Stayner area upon request and you will be transferred to meet the coach in Barrie. Overnight parking is available at our office.  We will fly on Air Canada from Toronto to St. John’s, the capital city of Newfoundland for a 2-night stay at the Capital Hotel. A Welcome Dinner awaits our arrival. (D)

Day 2: Tues., July 21 – This morning we head straight to Bay Bulls to enjoy a 1.5 hour Gatherall’s Whale watching boat cruise which includes viewing the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home to thousands of puffins & seabirds. Today’s highlights include: Petty Harbour, Cape Spear, guided city tour of St. John’s & Signal Hill. (B)

Day 3: Wed., July 22 – Today we leave the Avalon Peninsula and head north to Gander. We will travel through Terra Nova National Park, and stop at Gambo at Joey’s Lookout. Today’s activities in Gander will include a visit the Silent Witness Memorial, The North Atlantic Aviation Museum, the Gander Airport and the Peacekeeper’s Memorial Park. We will see pieces of the Twin Towers in both the Museum & Airport dedicated to the events of 9/11 before arriving at Sinbad’s Hotel for a 2 night stay. (B & D)

Day 4: Thurs., July 23 – Today we will explore the beautiful outport community of Twillingate. Highlight’s include: Boyd’s Cove Beothuk Centre, the Boat Builder’s Museum, Twillingate Museum, St. Peter’s Church & Long Point Lighthouse. This evening we will return to Gander for a group dinner. Day 5: Fri., July 24 This morning we will travel through Grand Falls and onto King’s Point for lunch. We will visit Kings Point Pottery & the Whale Museum before traveling onto Corner Brook. We will be staying at the charming, historic Glynmill Inn for 2 nights. (B, L & D)

Day 6: Sat., July 25 – Today we’ll visit Cook’s Lookout before heading south to Stephenville. From there we will drive out to Port au Port Peninsula. Today we will visit “Our Lady of Mercy Church” and discover such villages as Cape St. George, Three Rock Cove and Lourdes before returning to our hotel. (B & L)

Day 7: Sun., July 26 This morning we will depart for Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will marvel at the spectacular ocean scenery, mountains and fjords. Our day will include: Lobster Cove Lighthouse and Photographers Lookout. We will be staying at the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour for 2 nights. (B & D)

Day 8: Mon., July 27 This morning is a free morning to relax. This afternoon you will experience the beauty of the fresh water Fjords of Western Brook Pond. (Weather permitting)   Please note that in order to reach the docks of the boat tour – we must walk (a fairly level) 3 km walk or approx. 45 minutes OR the Bonn Bay Boat tour which requires no walking. Tonight is a special treat as we enjoy the “Pub Night featuring the Anchors Aweigh Band”. (B)

Day 9: Tues., July 28 This morning we continue our drive up the Northern Peninsula – known as the Viking Trail to St. Anthony. This afternoon we will visit the Sir Wilfred Grenfell Centre. We will be staying at Hotel North in St. Anthony for our 2 night stay. (B)

Day 10: Wed., July 29 – This morning we will experience a 2.5 hour award winning boat tour with Northland Discovery in hopes of iceberg sightings, humpbacks and dolphins. In the afternoon we will visit L’Anse aux Meadows Interpretative Centre. This is the only known Viking Site in North America and the earliest evidence of Europeans in the western hemisphere. Tonight we will be entertained at our group dinner by local musicians and become Honourary Newfoundlanders once all the requirements have been fulfilled during the “Screech In Ceremony” (B & D)

Day 11: Thurs., July 30 Today will be a leisurely driving day down the coast and through Gros Morne National Park to Deer Lake where we will visit the Insectarium in the afternoon. A farewell dinner will conclude our day. We will overnight at the Holiday Inn in Deer Lake. (B & D)

Day 12: Fri., July 31 – This morning we will visit the south side of Gros Morne National Park. Highlights will include driving out to Trout River, taking a short 1 hour guided hike of the famous Tableland Mountains and visiting the Discovery Centre. We will have lunch in Woody Point. All good things must come to an end. This afternoon we will fly home to Pearson International Airport from Deer Lake. Our Hammond Coach will be there to pick us up and return us to our original departure points. (B & L)

An initial deposit of $1000.00 is required upon booking.

A 2nd deposit of $2000.00 is due on March 1, 2020 with the balance due in full by June 1, 2020.
