Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Mon., Sept. 11 – The tour will depart from Orillia, behind Zehrs at 7:00p.m., Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 7:30p.m. & Tour Office at 8:00p.m. for our shuttle to Pearson International Airport. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office) We will fly on Air Transat for our overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Day 2: Tues., Sept. 12 – Today we arrive in Dublin. This afternoon we will check in to our hotel which will be our home for the next two nights. This evening we will enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)
Day 3: Wed., Sept. 13 – This morning we will meet a local guide and explore Dublin. Travel along the River Liffey, visit the Guinness Brewery, Christchurch Cathedral and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Enjoy entrance to the 9th century Book of Kells and a walk through the cobbled courtyards of Trinity College to gain insight into the establishment’s impressive history. Enjoy some free time on Grafton Street before dinner. (D)
Day 4: Thurs., Sept. 14 -This morning we will travel from Dublin to County Wicklow known as the Garden of Ireland. In the afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Irish National Stud, an area of incredible natural beauty that’s home to regal thoroughbreds and opulent Japanese gardens. We will continue to Cork, Ireland’s second most populous city, built on the river Lee for a 2-night stay. (B & D)
Day 5: Fri., Sept. 15 – This morning is free to relax and explore on your own. In the afternoon we visit Jameson Distillery in the town of Midleton. Learn about Jameson’s rich heritage and finish the tour with a tasting or two. (B & D)
Day 6: Sat., Sept. 16 – This morning we enjoy a jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park. We will visit the fishing port of Dingle and view the Blasket Islands. We will visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park before checking in to our overnight accommodation in Limerick. (B & D)
Day 7: Sun., Sept. 17 – Today we travel up the scenic West coast through Galway and Sligo and crossing into Northern Ireland with several stops along the way. We visit the iconic Giant’s Causeway to explore this geological masterpiece. It was created by the cooling of lava which burst through the earth’s crust millions of years ago. Enjoy a spectacular drive along the Antrim Coast prior to checking in to our hotel for an overnight stay. (B & D)
Day 8: Mon., Sept. 18 – This morning we explore Belfast with a local guide followed by a visit to the Titanic Belfast Museum and Exhibition in the afternoon. (B & D)
Day 9: Tues., Sept. 19 – Today we travel from Belfast to Cairnryan, Scotland on the Stena Ferry. Travel the Aryshire coast. Enjoy a visit to the Burns Centre to learn about Scotland’s famous bard, Robert Burns. Our overnight stay is in Glasgow at the centrally located Voco Grand Central Hotel. The evening is free to explore on your own. (B & D)
Day 10: Wed., Sept. 20 – This morning we will start our journey to Oban via Loch Lomond and Inverary to the seaside town, which will be our home for the next two nights. (B & D)
Day 11: Thurs., Sept. 21 – This morning we will board the Ferry and travel to Craignure on the Isle of Mull. Our coach will then take us to the most southern tip of the Island, and we will cross over by passenger ferry to the tiny Island of Iona. It is here that St. Columba brought Christianity to Scotland. Arriving in AD563, he established a Centre of Religious Studies. Visit the Abbey and enjoy exploring this peaceful island.

Day 12: Fri., Sept. 22 – Today we continue our journey North. Our visits include Glencoe, known as the Valley of the weeping. We stop at the Commando Memorial for a view of Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis before reaching the Great Glen. We will travel past Loch Ness on our way to an overnight stay in Inverness. (B & D)
Day 13: Sat., Sept. 23 – Our journey today takes us to Pitlochry. Our day includes a whisky distillery visit and entry to Blair Castle in Perthshire. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the town at your leisure.

Day 14: Sun., Sept. 24 – We will travel to Edinburgh this morning via Sterling. (B)
Day 15: Mon., Sept. 25 – Today we explore the “Athens of the North”, the city of Edinburgh with a local blue badge guide including visits to Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore the city on your own. (B)
Day 16: Tues., Sept. 26 – Home. This morning we depart for Glasgow Airport and our flight home. Our coach will be waiting for our arrival at Pearson International Airport to return us to our original departure points.
