Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Mon., Sept. 21 – The tour will depart from the Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 7:30a.m. and the Tour office at 8:00a.m. Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office. All passengers will require a valid Canadian Passport for this tour. Today our destination is Frankenmuth, Michigan for an overnight stay at the Bavarian Lodge. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to Bronner’s Christmas Store guided tour of the Town. This evening we will enjoy a family style chicken dinner at the Bavarian Restaurant. (D)
Day 2: Tues., Sept. 22 -This morning there will be free time to explore the town prior to departing for Mackinaw City located on the mainland in the Upper Peninsula. Our two night stay will be at the Hamilton Inn Select located beside the ferry dock. A group dinner has been arranged at a local restaurant. (B & D)
Day 3: Wed., Sept. 23 – Today we take the ferry to Mackinac Island and enjoy a guided tour by horse drawn carriage. There are only 3 motorized vehicles on the island: the fire truck, police car & ambulance. Enjoy a group luncheon at the Grand Hotel and free time in the afternoon to explore the Island. Return to the mainland late afternoon. (B & L)
Day 4: Thurs., Sept. 24 – Today we travel North and cross the border to Sault Ste Marie. This afternoon we enjoy a visit to the Canadian Bush Plane Museum where you can learn about fighting forest fires and check out some of the vintage aircraft. Check in to the Quality Inn for a 2-night stay. (B & D)
Day 5: Fri., Sept. 25 – Today’s itinerary includes a tour highlight, the Agawa Canyon Train Trip. This train excursion takes us on a journey 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie and includes a stop in the Canyon to allow time for photos and a stroll along one of the many walking paths. (B & L)
Day 6: Sat., Sept. 26 – Following breakfast we will depart for home. We will return to Barrie at approximately 7:30p.m. and the Tour office at 8:00p.m. (B)
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 5 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, admissions as outlined in the itinerary, Agawa Canyon Train trip, Ferry Crossing, Horse Drawn Carriage Tour of Mackinac Island, 8 meals, duty free shopping & HST on the Canadian portion only.
A deposit of $600.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due by August 10, 2020.
Travel insurance is available through our office at time of booking for an additional charge.
