Wednesday, June 22 to Tuesday, June 28, 2016 - Washington, DC including Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Wed., June 22 - The tour will depart from Orillia at 6:30 a.m., Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire at 7:00a.m. & Tour Office at 7:30a.m. (Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office).  Remember to bring with you your Valid Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA. Please keep this document with you and be prepared to present it at the border.  Today we travel to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania for our overnight stay.  This evening enjoy a group dinner. (D)
Day 2: Thurs., June 23 - This morning we meet our Battlefield Guide at the Visitor’s Center. Gettysburg is America’s largest Civil War Battlefield with over 1600 monuments and cannons dotting the landscape in memory of those who fought and died here.  In the afternoon we travel to Washington D.C.  Our afternoon visits include Arlington National Cemetery. This is the final resting place for President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Robert F. Kennedy, Edward Moore (Ted) Kennedy and thousands of soldiers from every major U.S. war. This evening after dinner we visit the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue).   We then check in to our hotel, our home base for the next 4 nights. (B & D)
Day 3: Fri., June 24 - This morning, tour highlights include: The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, overlooking the Reflecting Pool, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial.  In the afternoon we will visit the new Capitol Visitor Center on Capitol Hill and the United States Library of Congress followed by the new Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial.  This evening, enjoy dinner at the Mansion on O Street with its 100 rooms and 70 secret doors. (B & D)      
Day 4: Sat., June 25 - Our visits today include a stop at the Air Force Memorial, the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park, the White House Visitor Centre and the National World War II Memorial.  This afternoon we travel to Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington.  Visit the Ford Orientation Center & Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center at Mount Vernon. This evening we enjoy dinner and some free time in Old Town Alexandria. (B & D)                                                                                     
Day 5: Sun., June 26 - Today is a free day to visit the Smithsonian Institution’s museums on the National Mall. This evening after dinner we continue with an Illuminated Monument Driving Tour of Washington’s grand buildings, memorials and monuments. (B & D)                           
Day 6: Mon., June 27 - Today we travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where we will learn about many aspects of Amish life.  Enjoy lunch at the Plain & Fancy Farm served family-style. In the afternoon we travel to Lewisburg and check in to Country Cupboard Inn. (B, L & D)                     
Day 7: Tues., June 28 - This morning we begin our journey home, stopping for meal breaks and duty free shopping.  Our return time to Barrie will be approximately 8:00p.m. (B)
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 6 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, 6 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 6 dinners, attractions, guided tours as listed in the itinerary, duty free shopping & HST EXEMPT. 
Cost per person: Twin $2390.00 & Single $3195.00
A deposit of $600.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due in full by April 15, 2016

Travel Insurance is available through our office at the time of booking at an additional charge.

 
 


PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:

A Valid Canadian Passport
- the best form of Identification

As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.

Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.

Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.

To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
