Tuesday, May 31 to Monday, June 6, 2016 – Springtime in New England -
Vermont, New Hampshire & Maine
Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Tues., May 31 - The tour will depart from Orillia at 7:00a.m., Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 7:30a.m., the Tour Office at 8:00a.m. & Newmarket at 8:20a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office) A Canadian Passport will be required for the border crossing into the USA. We will allow time for duty free shopping. Today we travel to Albany, New York for our overnight stay.
Day 2: Wed., 1 - Stockbridge, Norman Rockwell and Portsmouth, New Hampshire
This morning motoring east our first stop will be Stockbridge, MA nestled in the Berkshire Mountains.  The Berkshires is home to the historic Red Lion Inn the oldest continuous run Inn in America.  Following a bit of free time to enjoy this lovely Main Street is a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum.  Next we motor east to our destination Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Check into your hotel for the evening followed by dinner.  (B & D)
Day 3: Thurs., June 2 -York, Nubble Light, Lobster Cruise, Kennebunkport & Portland
Following breakfast, we’ll enjoy a brief tour of Portsmouth before touring along Maine’s southern coast. Tour through the Village of York, with a picture stop to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world, The Cape Neddick Light, more fondly known as ‘the Nubble’.  Board the ‘Finest Kind’ cruises for a first hand lobstering experience!   Next stop is the Kennebunkport with its quaint setting that has appealed to artists, writers and Presidents. 
A photo stop at the Wedding Cake House shows what an ambitious carpenter can create with gothic decorations.  Next stop is the Portland Head Light which guards the entrance to Casco Bay.  This afternoon, enjoy a tour of Portland, Maine’s largest city described as ‘the beautiful town that is seated by the sea’ by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.  The Old Port Exchange was once the heart of Portland’s busy 19th century commercial ventures and continues to be the center of activity today. Depart Maine we head to North Conway, New Hampshire for a three night stay at the Fox Ridge Resort.  (B & D)
Day 4: Fri., June 3 - Mount Washington Hotel with a grand luncheon & Cod Railway
After a hearty breakfast, we will head to Bretton Woods to the historic Mount Washington Hotel. A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, The Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire's White Mountains, was a two-year labor of love for 250 master craftsmen. Enjoy a delicious luncheon in the grand dining room followed by a guided tour of this magnificent hotel.  This afternoon we are off to the Mount Washington Cog Railway.  This rail continues to provide a sense of adventure and history as it carries passengers up a 3-mile-long trestle and the steepest railroad tracks in North America to the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washington.  After this spectacular ride we are off to as we head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening. Day 5: Sat., June 4 - Free Day for outlet shopping
Following breakfast there is free time to explore Settlers Green Outlet Village Stores.  This area has been a landmark shopping experience in North Conway since their opening in 1988. Settlers Green Outlet Village is a major hotspot for locals and vacationers alike to enjoy a fun fueled day of tax free shopping. (B)
Day 6: Sun., June 5 - Vermont’s local flavors
Following breakfast we depart New Hampshire and head for Vermont sit back and relax and take in the spectacular scenery as we head we’ll drive along the Kancamagus Highway; one of North America’s Scenic Byways have your cameras ready for some spectacular views.  Heading into Vermont our first stop will be the Morse Sugar Farm for a demonstration and sugar on snow experience. Then it’s on to Cabot Creamery, home of the world’s best cheddar! We’ll continue with our tasty day with a visit to Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Watch cider making and enjoy free samples of cider and other Vermont specialty foods!  We’ll finish off the day with a tasty treat from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory!  Check into your hotel for a relaxing night stay and freshen up before enjoying the final dinner this evening. Day 7: Mon., June 6  - Home           
Following breakfast we depart for home with memories of the beautiful New England area.
We will stop at the Duty Free shop before entering Canada. Our return to Barrie will be at approximately 8:30p.m & Orillia at 9:00p.m. (B)
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Direc­tor, 6 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling (including a 3-night stay at Fox Ridge Resort) 6 breakfasts, 1luncheon, 3 dinners, guided tours, Mount Washington Cog Railroad, Mount Washington Hotel tour, admissions as outlined in the itinerary, duty free shopping & HST EXEMPT.
Cost per person:  Twin $2200.00 & Single $2860.00
A deposit of $600.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due in full by April 20, 2016. 
Travel Insurance is available through our office at the time of booking at an additional charge. 

 
 


PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP:

A Valid Canadian Passport
- the best form of Identification

As of June 1, 2009, a Valid Canadian passport is required for those travelling to the United States by land, air or cruise ship.

Canadian Residents Holding non-Canadian Passports: Upon entry into the USA by land, you must fill out Form I-94, and pay $6 US per person. Upon your return to Canada, the form must be presented to the customs office as proof that you have left the USA.

Hamilton Tours staff advise passengers of their travel document requirements, but we will not be responsible for passengers denied access to the US, or for re-entry into Canada. If this happens, you will be responsible for your own transportation home.

To facilitate border crossing, please keep your identification on your person.
