Antarctica Cruise
Sunday, February 18 to Sunday, March 4, 2018
“Once in a Lifetime Adventure” Join Us on this 14-night Antarctica Cruise departing Buenos Aires, Argentina
Cruise Itinerary aboard Celebrity Infinity
Day 1: Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a wonderful combination of sleek skyscrapers and past grandeur, a collision of the ultrachic and tumbledown.
Day 2, 3, 4: At Sea for 3 days
Day 5: Ushuaia - Most consider Ushuaia to be the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia's port is a common stopover for visits to Antarctica.
Day 6: Cape Horn - Rounding the extreme southern tip of South America, you'll be awestruck by the rugged beauty and imposing vision of Cape Horn, a craggy, massive rocky point that was the bane of early explorers.
Day 7: Schollart Channel is located between Anvers Island and Brabant Island. It was discovered in 1898 by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition. Through the Channel you will be able to experience the beauty of what the Antarctic has to offer along with wild life and wondrous ice bergs.  Paradise Bay - This protected harbour lives up to its name. Ringed by hanging ice cliffs and dotted with floating icebergs reflecting every colour of the spectrum, it has a heavenly aura about it. Hear the breathy sound of surfacing humpback, minke, and killer whales, who come to feed in the krill-rich waters. At the sometimes occupied Chilean station you will be entertained by the gentoo and chinstrap penguins, and have the chance to set foot on the Antarctic continent.  Gerlache Strait - A number of geographical anomalies around the Gerlache Strait make these waters among the most plankton-rich in the world. So, in addition to some of the most stunning polar mountains, and majestic floating ice floes in the distance, you are likely to see a profusion of humpback whales feeding in this rich ecosystem.
Day 8: Elephant Island - When the Endurance was crushed by the ice of the Weddell Sea, it is on Elephant Island in the South Shetlands that Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew sought refuge, floating on three small boats through mammoth icebergs and landing between steep cliffs.
Day 9: At Sea
Day 10: Port Stanley is the only town on the Falkland Islands, and though it has little more than 1,200 residents, it contains half of the islands' population. There are 700,000 sheep, and a wonderful assortment of sea birds and elephant seals.
Day 11: Puerto Madryn is a quickly growing tourist destination that serves as the gateway to Valdes Peninsula, a nearby wildlife sanctuary.
Day 12: At Sea
Day 13: Uruguay's capital, Montevideo, is one of South America's more attractive capitals, even if it’s once-grand colonial architecture could use a little sprucing up.
Day 14: Buenos Aires, Argentina – disembark – return flights to Toronto
