Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Wed., Sept. 29 – The tour will depart from the Tour Office at 8:00a.m. and the Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 8:30a.m. Overnight parking is available at the Tour Office. Today we travel to Sault Ste. Marie for a 4-night stay at the Quality Inn and Suites Bay Front. (D)

Day 2: Thurs., Sept. 30 – Today’s itinerary includes a tour highlight, the Agawa Canyon Train Trip. This train excursion is a full day excursion that takes us on a journey 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie and includes a stop in the Canyon to allow time for photos and a stroll along one of the many walking paths. This evening, there will be time for an optional visit to the Gateway Casino located within walking distance of our hotel.   (B & L)

Day 3: Fri., Oct. 1 – This morning we travel along the Lake Superior Coastal Road, named as one of the Top Ten Drives in North America. We will make several scenic stops including Chippewa Falls, which was one of the beautiful painting sites of the Group of Seven, the Agawa Crafts Shop featuring handmade native art and carvings, and Old Woman Scenic Lookout along Lake Superior. Our day also includes a photo opportunity at the Wawa Goose and a visit to the Sandy Beach Pavilion. Take a walk along the boardwalk to Sandy Beach and learn about A.Y. Jackson and his time painting with the Group of Seven from a local historian. Enjoy dinner enroute back to Sault Ste Marie at the Voyageurs Lodge and Cookhouse celebrating authentic Metis cuisine. Day 4: Sat., Oct. 2 – Today we visit local attractions in the Sault including the Canadian Bush Plane Museum where we learn about fighting forest fires and explore some of the vintage aircraft. It is completely interactive and has over thirty aircraft exhibits. This afternoon enjoy some time at the Algoma Art Gallery and learn more about the unique history of Canada’s Group of Seven. Dinner this evening is combined with a tour of the Ermatinger-Clerque National Historic Site and Heritage Discovery Centre. Step back in time with this unique and learn what motivated the Group of Seven to paint in this remote community. (B & D)

Day 5: Sun., Oct. 3 – Following breakfast we start our journey home. We will visit Science North, one of Northern Ontario’s most popular attractions located in Sudbury. Enjoy dinner this evening at the Log Cabin in Parry Sound. Return to Barrie at approximately 7:00p.m. & the Tour office at 7:30 p.m. (B & D)

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 4 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, admissions as outlined in the itinerary, Agawa Canyon Train trip, 10 meals & HST.

Cost per person (includes all taxes): Twin: $1525.00 & Single: $1795.00

A deposit of $600.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due by August 30, 2021.

Travel insurance is available through our office at time of booking for an additional charge.
