Tentative Itinerary

Day 1: Tues., June 11 – The tour will depart from Newmarket, Ray Twinney Centre at 7:00a.m., the Tour Office at 7:30a.m. and Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 8:00a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our office)

Our destination today is Sault Ste Marie for an overnight stay at the Quality Inn. Our evening includes dinner and an optional visit to the Casino. (D)

Day 2: Wed., June 12 – This morning after breakfast we will travel into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and take the ferry to Mackinac Island. Remember to bring your Canadian Passport for the border crossing into the USA. Upon arrival, we tour the island in a horse-drawn carriage. There are only three motorized vehicles on the island: the fire truck, police car & ambulance. During this time of year, the island is alive with the colour and fragrance of thousands of lilacs, which bloom later than here in Ontario. In the afternoon we check in to the Grand Hotel known as America’s Summer Place. Our stay includes a 5-course dinner this evening. After dinner, there will be a demitasse service and many options for evening entertainment including ballroom dancing to the Grand Orchestra and an evening movie selection. (B & D)

Day 3: Thurs., June 13 – This morning, enjoy a walking tour through the Gardens at the Grand Hotel. The afternoon is free to explore the downtown area on your own. Tonight, another wonderful dining experience awaits us at the Hotel. (B & D)

Day 4: Fri., June 14 – Today we depart Mackinac Island and travel to Frankenmuth – Michigan’s Little Bavaria. This evening enjoy a guided tour of Frankenmuth, followed by dinner at the Bavarian Inn. (B & D)

Day 5: Sat., June 15 – This morning there is free time to explore Frankenmuth and visit Bronner’s Christmas Store – the world’s largest Christmas Store before departing for home. (B)

Tour includes: motor coach transportation with tour director, 4 nights hotel, hotel taxes, baggage handling, admissions as outlined in the itinerary, Ferry Crossing, Horse Drawn Carriage Tours of Mackinac Island and Frankenmuth, 8 meals, duty free shopping & HST on the Canadian portion only.

A deposit of $500.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance in full due one month prior to departure.
Travel Insurance is available through our office at the time of booking at an additional charge.
