Tentative Itinerary:

Day 1: Thurs., July 25 – The tour will depart from Orillia at 9:30a.m., Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 10:00a.m. & Tour Office at 10:30a.m. for our shuttle to Pearson International Airport. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office) A shuttle van service is available with a minimum of 6 customers in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach & Elmvale upon request and transferred to meet the coach in Barrie. We will fly on Air Canada from Toronto to St. John’s, the capital city of Newfoundland for a 2-night stay at the Capital Hotel.   A Welcome Dinner awaits our arrival. (D)

Day 2: Fri., July 26 – This morning we head straight to Bay Bulls to enjoy 2 hour Gatherall’s Whale watching boat cruise which includes viewing the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, home to thousands of puffins & seabirds. Today’s highlights include: Petty Harbour, Cape Spear, guided city tour of St. John’s & Signal Hill. (B)

Day 3: Sat., July 27 – Today we leave the Avalon Peninsula and head north to explore the Bonavista Loop. Points of interest will include Cape Bonavista Lighthouse & the Dungeon Provincial Park. We will overnight at Port Union or Clarenville   (B & D)

Day 4: Sun., July 28 -Today our route takes us through Terra Nova National Park, past Gambo, for our 2-night stay at Sinbad’s Hotel in Gander. This afternoon we will visit The North Atlantic Aviation Museum & the Memorial Park. (B & D)

Day 5: Mon., July 29 – Today we will explore the beautiful outport community of Twillingate – an excellent vantage point for iceberg & whale sightings. Highlight’s include: Boyd’s Cove Beothuk Centre, the Boat Builder’s Museum, Twillingate Museum, St. Peter’s Church & Long Point Lighthouse. (B & L)

Day 6: Tues., July 30 – Today may become your favourite day of the tour. This morning we will depart for Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our day will include: Kings Point, Gros Morne Interpretative Centre & Lobster Cove Lighthouse. We will be staying at the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour for 2 nights. (B & D)

Day 7: Wed., July 31 – This morning is a free morning to relax. This afternoon you will experience the beauty of Photographers Lookout followed by the Bonne Bay Boat tour.   Tonight is a special treat as we enjoy the “Pub Night featuring the Anchors Aweigh Band” at our hotel. (B)

Day 8: Thurs., Aug. 1 – This morning we continue our drive up the Northern Peninsula – known as the Viking Trail to St. Anthony. We will stop at the Arches, a natural phenomenon carved over many centuries by the sea. A group lunch will be in Plum Point. This afternoon we will visit the Grenfell Centre which honours the famous medical missionary, Sir Wilfred Grenfell. We will be staying at Hotel North in St. Anthony for our 2 night stay. (B & L)

Day 9: Fri., Aug. 2 – This morning we will experience an award winning boat tour with Northland Discovery in hopes of seeing whales and dolphins. In the afternoon we will visit L’Anse aux Meadows Interpretative Centre. Here is the only known Viking Site in North America. (B & D)

Day 10: Sat., Aug. 3 – We will depart for St. Barbe where we will take the ferry across the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador. We will travel north to Mary’s Harbour where we will board the ferry that will take us to Battle Harbour. (B & D)

Day 11: Sun., Aug. 4 – Today relax and enjoy this unique part of our country. This morning there is an optional walking tour to further experience this fascinating era of Labrador history. Enjoy the spa, explore the museum and artifacts. Enjoy amazing home cooking in the newly renovated dining room overlooking the water. (B, L & D)

Day 12: Mon., Aug. 5 – Today we sail back to Mary’s Harbour at 9:00a.m. We will then travel south to the Parks Canada Site in Red Bay to learn about the Basque Whaling Port. A visit to Point Amour Lighthouse towering at 109 feet, will complete our day. We will stay at the Northern Light Inn in L’Anse Au Clair overnight. (B, L & D)

Day 13: Tues., Aug. 6 – This morning we will leave Labrador on the first ferry and continue our drive south along the Viking Trail. We will overnight in Cow Head. (B & D)

Day 14: Wed., Aug. 7 – Today we will visit The Table Lands area on the south side of Gros Morne National Park. We will have lunch in Woody Point, visit the Discovery Centre, Trout River & take a short 1 hour guided walk. Overnight at the Holiday Inn Express in Deer Lake. (B, L & D)

Day 15: Thurs., Aug. 8 – All good things must come to an end. We will depart this morning for our return flight to Toronto from Deer Lake. Our motor coach will be waiting in Toronto to meet us and return us to our original departure points. (B)

Tour includes: transfer to Pearson International Airport in Toronto by motor coach, return flights, departure taxes, airport baggage fees round trip, motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 14 nights’ accommodation, hotel taxes, baggage handling for 1 large suitcase each, 14 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 9 dinners, National Park pass, 3 boat cruises, 2 Ferry Crossings, Pub Night Entertainment, 3 UNESCO sites, attractions, museum visits and guided tours as listed in the itinerary & HST of 15% in NL.

An initial deposit of $1000.00 is required upon booking.
A 2nd deposit of $2000.00 is due on March 1, 2019 with the balance due in full by June 1, 2019
