For the past 12 years we have been offering a Quilting tour open to all ladies who love to quilt, enjoy handiwork and enjoy the comradery of women who enjoy life and like to have fun. It is a few days of retail therapy, great food and interesting local attractions. This year all of our hotels have indoor pools, hot tubs and exercise rooms. I will provide a detailed Quilt Store listing with contact info. with your initial receipt.
Day 1: Thurs., May 2 – The tour will depart from Orillia at 7:00a.m.(with a minimum of 6 customers), Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 7:30a.m. & the Tour Office at 8:00a.m. A free shuttle van service is available with a minimum of 6 customers in the Collingwood, Creemore, Stayner area upon request and transferred to meet the coach in Barrie. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office) A Canadian Passport will be required for the border crossing into the USA. We will allow time for duty free shopping. We will cross at Port Huron and have lunch at the Cracker Barrel. Today we travel to Saginaw, Michigan for our overnight stay. This afternoon we plan to include visits to JoAnn Fabrics & Crafts and Hobby Lobby. Our hotel is located directly across from the Fashion Square Mall. Day 2: Fri., May 3 – This morning following breakfast we will depart for Petoskey. We have a FULL day of Retail Therapy planned for you. Visits today will include Warmbier Farms Home & Garden Décor! near Auburn. Followed by 3 Quilting Stores: Bittersweet Quilt Shop and Home Decore at Pinconning, Delphine’s Quilt Shop in Gaylord and The Quilt House at Indian River. Tonight we will check into our hotel for a 2 night stay and enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub. Hotel: Holiday Inn Express, Petoskey (B)
Day 3: Sat., May 4 – Following breakfast we will visit Castle Farms for their Castle and Garden Tour. A light buffet lunch will be served. Then we are off to Hearts to Holly Quilt Ship in Charlevoix . In the afternoon there will be free time to explore downtown Petoskey or relax at the hotel. Tonight will be a special evening with dinner at the Stafford’s Bay View Inn. Our Trunk Show guest speaker is yet to be confirmed… but something special is in the works. (B, L & D)
Day 4: Sun., May 5 – Today we are off to Grand Rapids. But first we will have a private store opening at Renee’s House of Quilting in Williamsburg. One other Fabric store is still to be confirmed. Today is a travel day down the west side of the state. We will check into the Country Inn & Suites, our home for the next 2 nights. This evening dinner is on your own. Hotel: Country Inn & Suites (B)
Day 5: Mon., May 6 – A group breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then we will have a guided tour of Grand Rapids. Today’s Quilt stores include: Fields Fabrics and Queen Bee Quilt Shoppe. A group evening dinner will conclude our day. (B & D)
Day 6: Tues., May 7 – This morning following breakfast we will depart for home. We will include a stop at RMC Quilt Store in Port Huron known for its wide backing fabrics and Pellon Legacy batting. We will stop for duty free shopping & meal breaks enroute home. Return to Bradford at approximately 8:00p.m, Barrie at 8:30p.m. & Orillia at 9:00p.m. (B)
Tour includes: motor coach transportation with Hamilton Tours Director, 5 nights hotel & taxes, baggage handling, 5 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, attractions as listed, visits to a minimum of 10 Quilt & Fabric Stores, guided tours as listed in the itinerary, duty free shopping & HST EXEMPT.
A deposit of $600.00 is required at the time of booking, with the balance due in full by April 1, 2019. Travel Insurance is available through our office at the time of booking at an additional charge.
