Hailed by critics and audiences for its heart and its wit, My Fair Lady is a beautiful musical about transformation, patronage, gender politics and class. It’s the Cinderella story about the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the appealingly arrogant phoneticist, Professor Higgins, in an endearing tale that charms audiences with its warmth and vivid characters.

Wed., June 21 – Burlington Footnotes presents “Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance” at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre
In 1995, a small tap group, working out of the Burlington Seniors' Centre, came together. Five years later, Artistic Director, Rosemarie Maurice, founded the Burlington Footnotes, and since then the senior dance troupe has blossomed from the original six seniors to over 115 members including performers and behind the scene volunteers.  The Burlington Footnotes, besides many small performances, stage an annual full Company show: Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance. The full company includes vocalists, musicians and comedians.

Let’s celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary together, right before Canada Day!  This patriotic concert will delight audiences of all ages, with music from such Canadian icons as Shania Twain, Anne Murray, The Nylons, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Ian & Sylvia, Rita McNeil, and many more.   Oh, Canada celebrates the brilliant Canadian songwriters and creative artists that give our great nation its musical heart and soul!
“Oh, Canada, We Sing For Thee’s powerful finale, which began with Gordon Lightfoot’s wonderful Railroad Trilogy and ended with everyone on their feet for O Canada, was breath-taking”.
