Day 1: Tues., May 15- The tour will depart from Barrie, Bayfield Mall behind Canadian Tire Store at 7:30a.m., Tour Office at 8:00a.m. & Newmarket, Ray Twinney Complex at 8:25a.m. (Overnight parking is available at our Tour Office). We travel to Montebello for our two-night stay. Enjoy the beautiful setting of this unique log cabin. Tonight, an elegant dinner awaits us in the main dining room. (D)
Day 2: Wed., May 16 - Every Spring, Ottawa is a splash of colour created by an array of tulips. Since WWII, The Dutch Royal Family continues to show their appreciation to Canada by sending tulips. This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Ottawa, including a visit to Dows Lake where many of the tulips are planted. In the afternoon, there is free time to enjoy the Byward Market followed by a boat cruise which offers us opportunity to learn about the history of the Rideau Canal. (B)
Day 3: Thurs., May 17 - This morning we visit the Museum of History. Prior to our departure for home, we will tour the R.C.M.P. Stables to learn about the horses and riders that participate in the Musical Ride. We will travel home through scenic Algonquin Park returning to Barrie at approximately 8:00p.m. and 8:30p.m. to our Tour Office. (B &L)
